The Dacelo's are our flagship model and the largest speakers in the Kingfisher family. Inspired by iconic designs from the 70's and 80's, these large 3-way bass reflex (ported) speakers boast a vintage style with state-of-the-art drivers from the ‘Satori’ line of respected Danish brand SB Acoustics. These no compromise transducers are packed with modern technology.

Transducers

Tweeter: World class 29mm silk ring radiator with a non-resonant diaphragm, two-part aluminium faceplate with integrated mechanical decoupling, dual balanced compression chambers for improved dynamics, dual copper caps for absolute minimum voice coil inductance and minimum phase shift, saturation-controlled motor system, non-reflective cast aluminium chamber with optimized damping for improved dynamics and flow optimized vented pole piece for optimum coupling to rear chamber. This tweeter is among the best in the world.

Midrange: 5.5’’ mode balanced Egyptian papyrus fibre cone with advanced BIMAX spider, powerful low distortion neodymium motor, low moving mass, extended copper shorting ring and low damping rubber surround for optimum transient response. It is internally isolated within its own cylindrical enclosure to eliminate standing wave resonances throughout its bandwidth.

Bass Driver: Powerful 10’’ hard paper cone woofer that utilizes a massive ferrous ceramic magnet and a 3’’ voice coil for a high motor force and low thermal compression, providing the headroom to comfortably reproduce the lower octaves with a realism that is unmatched by less capable drivers.

Cabinets

Each speaker is meticulously assembled and finished by hand. Featuring thick Australian hardwood veneers made in-house from logs salvaged for us by local arborists. With 21mm thick walls and a precision cut window brace that runs the entire length of the cabinet, each wall is rigidly tied to the opposing wall with sturdy braces. The Dacelos are finished in a durable hard wax oil with a soft matt sheen.

Sound

Dacelo's sound signature is warm and immersive, with tactile bass, an expansive sound stage, room-filling wide dispersion, and pinpoint detail. They are completely comfortable at high and low listening levels and reproduce deep bass with no sign of stress or distortion. They are a loudspeaker you can listen to four hours without fatigue.

Due to their extension down in to the lower octaves, we recommend Dacelos to be used in a medium to large listening space.

Stands & Grills

Our black cantilever stands feature a 6° backwards tilt for optimal sound projection. Crafted from high-quality Baltic birch ply, they offer superior strength and damping compared to hollow metal structures. Professionally painted and available with floor spikes on request - Price: $850/pair.
