Our Veneers
Instead of using commercially available ultra thin veneers, we make our veneers in house from logs we source from local tree surgeons. This way we are able to control the seasoning process from start to finish to end up with ideal veneers for our designs.
There are several benefits to our method;
Each pair of speakers is unique. No two pairs are identical.
No trees are cut down to make our speakers. We just use high quality timber from trees which are felled regardless. Most of them would otherwise be chipped by the arborist.
Thick, real timber veneers mean we can use hand-rubbed natural beeswax finishes.
The trees we use have grown in non-conventional logging environments. This means they often have much more interesting grain patterns than what is commercially available.
As the trees are not from forestry logging, we have access to species not often harvested for their timber in Australia.
We select each log based on it’s size, colour and expected grain patterns. Although we try to keep some species constantly in stock, each log will only produce so many veneers and the species options are limited to what is available. This means most veneers are effectively limited edition and may never be re-stocked. So act quick if you find a pair you love!
