Premium, low distortion drivers packed with state of the art features and advanced motor structures are the foundation of the A16’s. Each speaker is assembled by hand and made from locally sourced, high-grade, Australian plantation grown pine-ply. Our double-braced curved walls are lined with viscoelastic butyl-rubber to create inert, resonance free enclosures for smooth, clean reproduction of your favourite tracks.
The exterior curve combines with the hand sculpted baffle to eliminate harmful diffraction effects and create a smooth and consistent off-axis response. Internally the curved walls create non-parallel surfaces to minimise internal standing waves.
We have selected exceptionally high quality drivers from Danish manufacturer SB acoustics to match the time and energy put in to superior enclosure design. The optimised aluminium diaphragms give a warmer presentation than even most silk or paper diaphragms with a touch more clarity. We designed the crossover circuit to eek out every last drop of their potential. The result is detail and clarity with an expansive sound stage, reinforced by deep, punchy bass you would expect from a much larger speaker.
